Building Confidence through Conversations
MentorHub is a community-led nonprofit providing free online English conversation practice for young learners. We connect learners with fluent English-speaking volunteers to help improve speaking confidence, fluency and everyday communication skills through meaningful conversations.
The Challenge - Why MentorHub Exists
Although English is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world, many learners still struggle to develop confidence in speaking. Traditional learning methods often focus on grammar and written skills, while opportunities to practise real conversations can be difficult to access due to cost, availability and limited resources.
Our Solution
MentorHub aims to close this gap by providing free online conversation practice for young learners through meaningful interactions with volunteer speakers. By creating a supportive and accessible environment, we help learners practise English naturally, develop confidence and improve their communication skills over time.
How it Works
1. Apply
Learners and volunteers complete an application via an online form sharing their goals, availability and interests.
2. Match
MentorHub creates suitable pairings based on compatibility, schedules and shared interests. Informal interviews will be conducted at this stage.
3. Connect
Participants meet online for regular conversation sessions via Zoom or Google Meet. Resources for these sessions are provided by us.
4. Practice
Through consistent conversational sessions, learners build confidence over time.
